Hi!

My name is Maia Torell and I’m a digital artist and illustrator from Sweden.

With a focus on creating colorful characters and fantasy-inspired illustrations my work is driven by a love for storytelling and the challenge of evoking emotions through my paintings. For my artstyle I mainly create stylized characters with a lot of colors but often in a more mysterious fantasy setting, mixing fun and colorful with dark and mysterious.

I would love to illustrate for children’s, youth, and young adult books, as well as designing book covers, developing characters and work with visual development.

With a background in web development and UX design I want to use my knowlege of good design, color and composition to create art that not only complements the story but also enhances the reader’s experience.
